GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope is joined by Chief Political Correspondent Katherine Forster to discuss Andy Burnham's vision for government ahead of his expected move into Number 10.

They examine his plans for greater devolution, including the proposal for a "Number 10 for the North", and debate whether shifting power away from Westminster could help boost growth and improve public services.

The pair also explore the political and economic challenges facing the incoming government, from defence spending and taxation to local government reform and public expectations.

Could Burnham's approach reshape British politics, or will the realities of government prove more difficult than the promises?

  • Nigel Farage's Henry Nowak response proves he's 'completely unfit to be PM' - Nick Thomas-Symonds
    Jun 5 2026

Nigel Farage's response to the murder of Henry Nowak shows that he is "completely unfit" to be Prime Minister, a Cabinet minister and ally of Sir Keir Starmer has told GB News.

The Reform UK leader has come under fire for failing to condemn the violence in Southampton in Prime Minister's Questions after video footage emerged of police handcuffing Henry, a student in the city, as he lay dying after sustaining stab wounds.

Mr Farage was also accused of using the opportunity to lament what he described as "two-tier policing".

However, in an interview with GB News' Chopper's Political Podcast, Cabinet Office Minister Nick Thomas-Symonds said that Mr Farage's remarks about the murder show he is not fit to be Prime Minister.
