The duo concludes by reflecting on the absurdity of 1940s forecasting methods, specifically the reliance on analog maps —which amounted to checking if the weather was nice on that same date in 1912. It’s hilariously terrifying to realize that the fate of the free world essentially hinged on a meteorologist’s version of confirmation bias .
