• 'House of the Dragon' Rhaenyra Triumphant
    Jul 8 2026

Summary: Rhaenyra Targaryen is learning in real time how to win friends & influence people. Turns out, occupying the Iron Throne requires more than just serving face... it also means you have to serve your people. Rhaenyra is dealing with stabilizing her kingdom, fending off a bloodthirsty Daemon, trying (and failing) to appease Corlys, grieving her son, and everything else that is required of her. P.S she's now broke. On this episode of Femme & Furious, we're diving into the expectations placed on women in leadership, the idea of false prophets, and what happens when the realization of the crushing reality that you can't "have it all" sinks in.

Join the 2 Femme, 2 Furiouscommunity & cultural salon! We've got something for everyone! Help me take this podcast from a singular platform and turn it into a beautiful, feminist ecosystem filled with mutual support, nurturance, and growth! Jul 4 2026

Summary: If there's one thing HotD does well, it's center the women. Our two girlie pops, Alicent & Rhaenyra, are finally together again, and we need to make some space for the sexual tension and trauma that's about to enter the chat. This was a beautiful episode exploring grief and the consequences of war and power. It's an episode that explores 3 different women, all with the title Queen, who have varying degrees of power in a place literally called "King's Landing". As we sit with the heartbreaking aftermath of the Battle of the Gullet, the emotional fallout hits just as hard as the physical one. Meanwhile, Aemond and Daemon continue their testosterone-fueled race toward mutual destruction, and the Queens continue to prove they're the most compelling players on the board.

    Jul 12 2026

Summary: Welcome to Romantasy Summer here at Femme & Furious, where we are breaking down the first half of Spark of the Everflame by Penn Cole! This is a story about fate, prophecy, and a super badass woman named Diem Bellator. In this episode, we dive into conversations about race, gender, and class hindrances to Diem, as well as her growing resentment towards her mother, who has lied to Diem and has kept her (potentially) unnecessarily medicated. If you love chatting about helicopter moms, Christian nationalism, men and their role in contraception, and the camaraderie of women in impoverished areas, then join me as we begin to unravel the Kindred's Curse.

Big Announcement: Come fangirl with us

I've started a cultural salon for feminist fangirls who want more than just a podcast feed. This is for the girls, gays, and theys who want buddy reads, mutual aid, monthly zines, and a found family that actually shows up. Plus, each month we'll have a guest expert join us for a salon-style convo where you can deepen your feminist lore (think: political experts, gender scholars, grassroots organizers, film & media critics). There's so much more inside, so come take a peek!

On JULY 15th, we'll dive deep in ACOTAR together (chapter by chapter, already listed for you on the site) ahead of our bonus episode.

Plus: I'm doing a giveaway for THREE free lifetime memberships. All you have to do is leave a review on apple podcasts! I'll announce the winner on the July 10th pod and on IG!

Episode Summary: We're back in Barrys Bay for episodes 3, 4 & 5 of Every Year After. On one hand, I can't stop watching. On the other hand, the integrity of the book is out the window and we need to just accept the rollercoaster ride we're on. Who needs Percy & Sam when we have Jordie and Chantal? There are some really rich feminist themes woven through these few episodes and also some questionable choices. Who are we to judge? We stan some messy drama

Feminist Follow-Through: No matter how chaotic and unnecessary the passport drama was with Chantal, it would have been significantly worse IRL. Let's be real, this US Admin is not favorable to people crossing boarders, and with her expired passport, Chantal would have been in a pretty bad situation. So many immigrants in this country are facing a far worse situation, so let's protect our most vulnerable and call our reps and stop migrant abuse at ICE centers.
