This week on Fun Boys, we’re hitting the back roads of Hazzard County for “Road Pirates”—an episode that proves absolutely nobody should ever trust a truck full of televisions in Georgia.

When a gang of hijackers starts knocking over freight trucks, somehow Bo, Luke, and Cletus end up taking the blame. With Boss Hogg chasing a shady TV deal, Rosco chasing the wrong suspects, and the General Lee chasing anything with four wheels, the Duke boys have to clear their names. So grab a Moon Pie, crank up your CB radio, and join the Fun Boys as we ask the important question: How many felony truck hijackings can happen in one county before the insurance company just gives up? Yeeee-haw!

Boss hosts a meeting of four old Chicago gangsters in Hazzard. With a tough crew like that coming to town, the smart play is to leave them alone. That’s just not in the Dukes nature though, so they insert themselves into the situation and they’re quickly running for their lives. It only takes a moment for them to remember they’re the purveyors or all that is good, so the Dukes, Cooter, and Cletus round up all the goons and throw a net over the bosses, and that’s a wrap. The Dukes agree to help Mel Tillis and Rosco’s wife win a horse race with their secret weapon, Manasses, the second fastest horse in Hazzard County. They also own the fastest horse, but he’s only for emergencies. But can it be that easy? Not with professional horse thieves in their midst, and Boss with his own nefarious plans. Not to worry though, the Dukes enlist the help of their stunt doubles again, and we’ve got an episode with some serious horse power. Three bad guys come to Hazzard with a trunk full of gold bars. They put it in Boss’s bank to keep it safe while Cooter fixes their car. Sounds like a quiet day in Hazzard. Let’s arrest the Dukes anyway, just in case! The Dukes have a day to kill while they’re waiting for the mobile dentist to get back to town to help Jesse. Rosco and Enos are trying to arrest the boys before they steal the gold, but the gold goes missing anyway. Can the boys figure out what’s going on in time to clear their name? Season 1 Recap Episode! The Fun Boys podcast was born without a name or a plan. Just four friends who wanted an excuse to talk every week. We set our sites on a familiar topic to us all: The Dukes of Hazzard. We had a lot of fun discussing the episodes of season 1, and we even learned a little about podcasting.
