The first thing sin ever did to a human being wasn't make him bad. It made him hide.
Genesis 2 and 3 — the garden, and the worst day in human history. This episode we walk it slow and pull out the stuff most people read right past: why work showed up before anything went wrong (and what that means for your grind), why "helper" doesn't mean what you think, and the exact play the serpent ran in the garden — the same one he's still running on you.
Then the heart of it: the chain reaction sin sets off in every one of us — guilt, shame, hiding, blame. It's why you feel the way you feel when you get caught. You didn't invent it. You inherited it.
But God comes walking into the mess. His first words to a hiding man aren't "how could you." They're "where are you." And even inside the curse, He's already whispering that a Rescuer is coming.
If you're tired of holding the costume together, this one's for you.
Next episode — Genesis 4 through 6. The first murder, and how the world went dark.
