  • Hiking dads and baking delays
    May 23 2026

This week in Judge Bex's courtroom, two families face off over too much of a good thing!

First up, Orla and Otty have had enough of their dad’s non-stop hiking sprees, especially when all they wanted for their Canadian birthday trip was swimming and sweets. Is dad working the family too hard, or is there room for compromise (and chocolate)?

Then: Elena brings her dad before the court for breaking the promise of "just one second" whenever she wants to bake – only for dad to get lost in his laptop.

Can Judge Bex balance the scales of family time, outdoor adventure, and home-baked cookies?

  • The Movie Night Showdown
    May 16 2026

Should a string of perfect spelling tests earn you the right to choose movie night? Alma thinks so but Mum has other plans, usually involving detective films and a dose of Jessica Fletcher...

When your Friday night hangs in the balance, is “We Can Be Heroes” too much to ask? Judge Bex weighs spelling triumph against cinematic tradition and hands down a verdict.

Meanwhile, the court faces the siblings' classic: Ria vs. Mum (and her brother!). Ria is tired of always catching the blame for spills and snack wrappers left behind.

Is she being unfairly singled out, or are memories of past misdemeanors clouding Mum’s judgement? Maybe it’s time for a detective in this house too!

Judge Bex unpacks the evidence, interviews both sides, and rules on who truly deserves the blame and who needs to tidy up their act.

  • Football vs. Golf and the Great Reading Showdown
    May 8 2026

Kyron says his dad promised to watch football every Saturday, but after just one game, Dad ditched the sidelines for the golf course!

Is "practicing to be a great golf buddy" a good enough excuse? Will football reclaim its rightful Saturday slot – or is it game over for Dad's Saturday swings?

Meanwhile, Dolly loves reading... but only when it's a book she picks! Every night, Dad makes her read a school book he won't even listen to, preferring to scroll on his phone.

Is this justice, or just lazy parenting? Can the court come up with a solution that makes reading time more fun (and less phoney) for everyone?

Judge Bex hands down her final riddance: no appeals, no takesies-backsies!

  • Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
    May 2 2026

Clara brings her mum to Judge Bex’s court, desperate to stop the barrage of embarrassing pet names like Sausage, especially at the school gates where everyone can hear. Mum argues pet names are a sign of love, but Clara wants simply to be called Clara!

Judge Bex listens carefully, considers the evidence (including a very telling birthday card!), and makes a ruling that will change how this family feels about nicknames forever.

Plus: Should Clara get to invent a nickname for Mum in return?

Meanwhile, nine-year-old Zachary is in court after being banned from his two favourite TV shows, SpongeBob SquarePants and Horrid Henry. According to Mum and Dad, too much screen time is making him "cheeky" and he’s copying the characters a little too closely!

Zachary pleads his case, while Mum and Dad insist they're only trying to set boundaries. Judge Bex weighs in on screen time limits and serves up a surprising solution that just might get Mum and Dad singing the SpongeBob theme tune themselves!

  • Dogs and 4 o'clock wake-ups
    Apr 25 2026

Camilla desperately wants a new pet: a guinea pig, or better yet, a dog! Mum sets out her defence: dogs are a huge long-term commitment, cost a lot, and when Camilla goes to university, guess who'll be left scooping poop? (Hint: Not Camilla!)

Meanwhile, sibling roommates Emily and William are at war over early mornings. Emily’s beauty sleep is regularly shattered by William, who’s wide awake after a doggy face-lick alarm clock. William blames the dog, Emily wants to join morning video games but not at 4 or 5am – and mum has resorted to earplugs!

Family life isn’t always purrfect, but there’s always a way to make it work. Got a case for Bex? https://funkidslive.com/judgebex

  • Alarm troubles and pocket money wars
    Apr 18 2026

Charlotte says Dad's 6:20am wake-up calls are an offence against sleep – and that string of defeated alarm clocks can testify! Dad insists it’s the only way Charlotte will get up (eventually) and they need to get to school early since both parents are teachers there...

Can a compromise be found or is Charlotte doomed to be the first one through the school gates forever?

Meanwhile, Elsa argues £1 a week just doesn’t stretch far enough. Especially when her parents "forget" to pay up! With secondary school around the corner, she wants more money and more control... Mum claims Elsa already gets plenty of extras and that if she wants more cash, she’ll have to step up her chores.

Will Elsa negotiate a pay rise from the Bank of Mum?

Which side are you on? Judge Bex is ready to rule!

  • The Great Snack Smuggle and the Ketchup Conundrum
    Apr 12 2026

Today in the courtroom of Judge Bex, two tasty cases stand trial.

First, Arabella takes her dad to court, accusing him of smuggling – and eating –her precious American snacks. Can Dad Chris wiggle out of the charge or will Judge Bex tax him harder than 1773?

Then, it’s a battle of the sauces as Alistair’s love for ketchup frustrates his mum, who’s desperate to serve up healthy meals not drowned in red stuff. Is there a way for everyone to keep their cool – or at least their condiments?

Plus: Connor and Lauren do their best to unpick Judge Bex’s meaty sentences and try to keep up with ketchup chaos.
