Welcome to our 7 episode series revisiting the 2016 NBA Finals 10 years later. Our special guest for our Game 6 epsiode is Cavs content favorite Tony Pesta of Fear The Sword and Junkyard podcast. The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA championship! Cleveland, this is for you!

Lebron James delivered one of the best performances of his esteemed career in Game 6, putting the entire organization on his back and leading them to a 115-101 vistory over the Warriors to force Game 7. James finished with 41 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. James got enough support from Tristan Thompson (15 points, 16 rebounds) and Kyrie Irving (23 points) to offset Kevin Love's ineffectiveness in only 12 minutes of action. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 55 points in a losing effort for Golden State.

    Jun 19 2026
Welcome to our 7 episode series revisiting the 2016 NBA Finals 10 years later. Today we break down the epic Game 4 with our special guest Bob Schmidt from the Fear The Fro podcast. The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA championship! Cleveland, this is for you!

Game 4 was a heartbreaker for the Cavaliers, losing 108-97 to the Golden State Warriors to go down 3-1 in the series. Steph Curry had his best game of the finals, scoring 38 points while hitting seven 3-pointers. Klay Thompson chipped in 25 points for the Warriors. Kyrie Irving was very good for the Cavs with 34 points. Unfortunately it was not enough for Cleveland as Lebron James had his worst game of the finals, having 25 points and 13 rebounds offset by 7 turnovers and lack of aggressiveness.

Luckily for the Cavs Draymond Green decided to punch Lebron in the groin, drawing a suspension for Game 5, and Klay Thompson decided to call out Lebron in the post game conference. This is when it starts getting really fun Cavs fans!

Thanks for listening to our 2016 NBA Finals revisited series. We will be back with regular epsiodes when the season resumes after the All Star break. As always, Go Cavs! #Cavs #Cleveland #LebronJames #NBAChamps #Warriors #StephCurry #NBA

Game 3 is when this finals officially became a series! The Cavs won 120-90 as the series shifted to Cleveland. Lebron James started taking control of this series in Game 3 with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists as well as some incredible defensive plays. Kyrie Irving had his best game of the series thus far, contributing 30 points and 8 assists, inluding 16 first quarter points to set the tone for the Cavs. JR Smith (20 points), Richard Jefferson (9 points, 8 rebounds), and Tristan Thompson (13 points, 14 rebounds) all were phenomenal in their roles for the Cavs, especially with Kevin Love sidelined with a concussion.

Welcome to our 7 episode series revisiting the 2016 NBA Finals 10 years later. We do a deep dive into each game and celebrate the most unlikely comeback in NBA history. The Cleveand Cavaliers won the NBA championship! Cleveland, this is for you!

Game 2 was possibly the lowest moment of the NBA Finals for the Cavs, losing 110-77 to go down 2-0 in the series. The game was still in striking distance early in the third quarter before the Warriors ended up outscoring the Cavs by 25 in the second half. Draymond Green was the star for the Warriors while Lebron James and Kyrie Irving both had their lowest point totals of the finals. To make matters worse Kevin Love suffered a concussion, leaving his availability for the rest of the series in doubt.
