Just outside the town of Cassadaga, Florida, there's a dirt road that dead-ends at a chain-link fence. Beyond it, an abandoned cinder-block building with a single copper-painted door set into its windowless face. Nobody in town talks about it. The road isn't on any map. But everyone knows someone who walked up to that door and never came back. In the summer of 2019, I met a man named Jesse who had been inside. He found me at a gas station off I-4, shaking, holding a folded piece of paper. What he told me over the next hour—what he showed me—made me understand why the locals burn that building down every spring and why, by autumn, it's always standing again. This is what I wrote down before the paper started to blur. This is what I remember of the copper door. #CopperDoor #CassadagaCrossing #FloridaPanhandle #DoNotOpen #AbandonedBuilding #CinderBlock #Jesse #LocalLegend #BurnItDown #ComesBack #StairsDown #WhatWasInside #SmallTownHorror #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #SoloNarrated #LunaReads #Anthology Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
