Come for a ride like no other. In fact, this has never been done before. You get to be a fly on the wall as it were, sitting on the shoulders of the greenkeeping staff and volunteers of The Royal Melbourne Golf Club, as they prepare the club's famed Composite Course for the 2025 men's Australian Open for the first time in 34 years! You're going to be on the inside and will hear everything that went on including preparation decision, discussions, challenges, problem solving, last minute changes, working with Mother Nature, how team members stay motivated, the banter and the fun, from four days of a tournament rolled into two podcast episodes.

Part 1 takes you through day 1 and day 2 of the tournament preparation including the challenging weather conditions that forced the tournament officials to direct the course preparation to do something that's never been done before.

An enormous thank you goes to Royal Melbourne Golf Club's Director of Courses, Richard Forsyth, for allowing me the access and opening up to the team being involved in this project, and also to Beschen Pou who was with me every step of the way assisting in all the recording and capturing of the content. There's so many more people to thank for being involved in this project and they will all be credited in the show notes of Part 2.

I hope you enjoy this tournament journey and learn something from a perspective that no one has ever produced before!

You hit 'em clean and we'll keep 'em green!
