Doctrine Behind Bars: The Theology Lockdown Podcast is a series of challenging, in-depth discussions with incarcerated men examining the difficult concepts of faith within the prison system.

At its heart, the podcast serves to highlight the inherent humanity and spiritual growth of those behind bars, using profound theological discussions and personal testimonies to reshape public perceptions of inmates. By centering on “living out doctrine and redemption,” TLP aims to set a new standard for how society views and engages with incarcerated individuals.

Beyond being a media platform, TLP functions as a "lifeline" and training ground through its integrated media labs. Recorded inside a correctional facility in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, these labs equip inmates with professional skills in audio engineering, video editing, and graphic design, working to reduce recidivism by directly supporting the ODOC’s mission of "We Change Lives!".

The project is hosted by DOC volunteers Ben Winters and Robbie “APOC” Carpenter, along with inmates Jacob Watson and Mark “Keytek” Murray. To ensure security and compliance, every episode undergoes a review and clearance process by the ODOC before being released to major podcast and video platforms.

  • [004] Obedience : Does God Require Compliance or Trust?
    May 19 2026

    S:1E4 - Obedience

In this episode... Is God only asking for our compliance or trusting his plan? What does it mean to delay our obedience? How do we avoid the King Saul trap?

The essence of our thought lands in the pocket of God wanting your heart, not your rituals. So let your rituals lead your heart to God!

SUPPORT THE MISSION: REACHING THE INSIDE 🕊️

Our mission goes beyond these microphones. We are dedicated to sharing these discussions and "wrestlings" within the prison system, getting this podcast directly into prison cells where brothers and sisters are struggling with the same questions we face out here. Your support helps us bridge that gap.
