Лев Николаевич Толстой (1828 - 1910) - великий русский писатель, классик отечественной и мировой литературы, мыслитель и просветитель. В своих публицистических и художественных произведениях проповедовал идеи всеобщей любви, стремления к совершенствованию, непротивления злу насилием.

В 2018 году исполняется 150 лет со дня рождения Максима Горького, великого русского писателя, прозаика и драматурга, классика ХХ века. Максим Горький - литературный псевдоним Алексея Максимовича Пешкова (16 [28] марта 1868 - 18 июня 1936)). Горький внёс выдающийся вклад в отечественную и мировую культуру.

"Der Idiot" gehört zu den bekanntesten Romanen Fjodor Dostojewskis. The Cherry Orchard (1903) is the final play by the Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. It is considered as one of four outstanding plays by Chekhov, along with The Seagull, Three Sisters, and Uncle Vanya. The narrative recounts an aristocratic landowner who returns to her family estate just before it is auctioned to pay the mortgage. It dramatizes the socio-economic developments in Russia at the turn of the 20th century, including the rise of the middle class after the abolition of serfdom and the waning power of the aristocracy.
