Als Wolodymyr Selenskyj – bis dahin ein populärer Schauspieler und Comedian – 2019 überraschend die ukrainische Präsidentschaftswahl gewann, ging die Welt davon aus, dass er ein schwaches Staatsoberhaupt sein und sich vom Kreml mithilfe der Oligarchen leicht lenken lassen würde.
