Ryinswel, once a land of dragons and magical races, is now reduced to a smoldering image of its past. The human House of Dekator, greedy and lustful for political power, is determined to rule all of Ryinswel and seize the land's magic. But the Wells of magic draw three young friends through the unfolding of prophecy, forcing them toward the calling on their lives and the restoration of magic.

Clarisse, taught by a chosen warrior, is thrust from her forest games into the sights of a crazed mage searching for people touched by The Gift. She presses toward the uncertain safety of Misty Lake, a place of forbidden learning.

Matt, jokester, friend, and playful suitor, will one day walk the soil as a Paladin, with Honor and Justice laid on his back. But first, he must learn how to protect his friends on this dangerous journey.

Ebon, the Shadow Walker, is comfortable nourishing travelers in taverns and inns, but has buried the Wells' Gift of Healing securely under herb lore and the distracting bustle of serving. Compassion and fear battle within him as he hides his healing touch under the forest's bounty.

This fantasy adventure is full of food, friends, magic, and the challenges of growing up as Clarisse, Matt, and Ebon journey toward their deeply-rooted destiny within Ryinswel. They’re joined by dwarves, bards, rangers & more as The Gift guides them to Misty Lake.
