Amanda Castello was born in Nice, France. She studied jurisprudence and political sciences at the Sorbonne in Paris, before expanding her training into Jungian psychology and completing a counseling program with Dr. Carl Simonton in 2008. Curious, idealistic, and deeply committed to human dignity, she spent many years in Latin America, learning languages, studying cultures and spiritual traditions, and working alongside communities affected by poverty and violence. These experiences shaped her understanding of life, death, and the invisible bonds that connect people. For more than thirty years, Amanda has been involved in end‑of‑life care and bereavement support. She has trained thousands of healthcare professionals in France and Italy and founded Jusqu’à la mort, accompagner la vie, a pioneering program dedicated to palliative care and grief education. Her work also includes research on consciousness, near‑death experiences, and the enduring presence of loved ones after death. Amanda is the author of several books on grief, including Calmer sa peine (Hachette, 2023), translated into Italian and Spanish, and Le Second Souffle (Guy Trédaniel, 2025). She also writes fiction, such as PADI, Beyond Life, and children’s literature with Padi and the Adventure of Life, published in French and translated into Italian and English. She divides her life between France and Italy, continuing to write, teach, and explore the world — today accompanied by her four cats, who have replaced the dogs and geese that once filled her home.
