Hi! I’m Amelia, and I write books about wizards. I’m also a gardener, hobbyist game developer, and a worshipper of spiders. I write small stories in big worlds full of vibrant characters and beautiful places, and my favorite things to do in those stories I tell are twist tropes, break the rules, and write adventures worth yearning for. For as long as I can remember I’ve been escaping to fantasy worlds wherever I can find them. Some of the most impactful of these on my young imagination were Avatar: The Last Airbender, Artemis Fowl, Ranger’s Apprentice, Naruto, Maplestory, and everything Spider-Man. These influences fostered a belief that wonder and whimsy are as important to a story as struggle and triumph, and you shouldn’t sacrifice either for the sake of following the rules.
