Barb Allen, also known as Construction Barb, brings over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Construction Management, she started her career as a union carpenter and climbed her way through jobsite rungs that included Foreman and Superintendent before trading her boots for heels in executive leadership roles. She has a unique perspective that spans from the jobsite to the boardroom. Today, Barb is a keynote speaker, podcast host, and founder of the 14%ers, a quarterly subscription box created specifically for Women in Construction. Through her work, she focuses on the real, often unseen challenges women face in predominantly male industries and provides practical, non-judgmental strategies to improve leadership, culture, and opportunity for everyone. Her book, *OneLadder to Leadership*, expands on these conversations by helping both leaders and climbers recognize the barriers that exist within traditional leadership structures and offers actionable ways to build a more equitable path forward.
