Rev. Dr. Jason DeRouchie (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is a churchman and Bible teacher who treasures Jesus and who is passionate about magnifying the glory of God in the face of Christ from all the Scriptures. He serves as Research Professor of Old Testament and Biblical Theology and Rich and Judy Hastings Endowed Chair of Old Testament Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He also serves as a pastor of Sovereign Joy Baptist Church and as content developer and global trainer with Hands to the Plow Ministries. He has authored and edited several books and published many articles and essays. Before MBTS, Jason taught at Gordon College, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, University of Northwestern––St. Paul, and Bethlehem College & Seminary, and he served as an associate pastor of Oak Park Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, IN, and as an elder of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN. He and his wife have six children, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and five grandkids and reside near Kansas City, MO.
