Margaret Goss is a writer, nurse, and mother of three with a lifelong fascination with the biographies of Catholic saints and mystics — and with all things unseen. The Uncommitted draws on those mystical Christian traditions — Heaven and Hell, the resurrection, apparitions, angels, bilocation, exorcism, spiritual warfare, and the long road to forgiveness — and places them inside the life of a modern family. Margaret grew up in a household of first-generation Italian Americans steeped in art and language: her father an English and journalism teacher and musician, her mother an art teacher and painter. That inheritance shaped her own path into storytelling, even through years spent working as a registered nurse. She holds a B.S. in Nursing from Arizona State University and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with her family and two much-loved dogs.
