Meet Mike: For more than twenty years, I led teams through pressure, transformation, and change across some of the fastest-moving environments in the tech world. What I learned early on was simple—and humbling: People don't follow titles. They follow presence. And real leadership isn't forged in strategy decks or KPIs. It reveals itself in moments of uncertainty—when you have to steady yourself before you steady others. Outside the leadership roles in technology, I coached people through fear on the water at SkiWakeSurf. There, courage wasn't theoretical. It was physical. Repetition built trust. Trust built confidence. And confidence changed people from the inside out. Later, my work with MoCa Cognition deepened my understanding of how memory, emotion, and cognitive patterns shape the way we respond under pressure. Then came the VMWare-Broadcom → Omnissa spinout—a season of constant change, stillness, and turbulence that forced me to slow down and tell the truth to myself. That's when everything crystallized: If you can't steady your nervous system, you can't lead your life. Everything I had lived—the leadership years, the water coaching, the cognitive work, the corporate transition, the reinvention—converged into one truth: The hardest person you will ever lead is yourself. That truth became my book. The book became three frameworks. And those frameworks became a platform. SelfLeadership ai exists to help people think clearly, feel deeply, and lead themselves with presence—in the age of AI. Because leadership doesn't begin with others. It begins on the inside. And the real question isn't whether you'll lead—it's whether you'll lead yourself first. I hope you find yourself in these pages - Sincerely, Mike Stamos
