Robin P. Blackstone, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a surgeon, executive, and author rebuilding the architecture of American healthcare. Her current work — a framework she calls the Triangle of Trust — places the Health Principal, the Human Health Ally, and intelligent tools at three corners of a system designed for cooperation rather than gatekeeping. She was the first woman to serve as President of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. She held the Ira A. Fulton Endowed Chair at Banner Health. She served as SVP of Clinical and Medical Affairs at Ethicon (Johnson & Johnson), where she chaired the J&J Institute's Global Surgery Advisory Board across 140 countries. She is a Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Arizona, and a peer reviewer for JAMA and the New England Journal of Medicine. Her advanced credentials in artificial intelligence come from Oxford's Saïd Business School. She also holds certifications from MIT, Harvard Business School, and the Financial Times Board Diploma Programme. She is the author of Doctor AI: Reimagining Healthcare, Rebuilding Trust, Delivering Health 4.0 — the public case for Health 4.0 and the Triangle of Trust.
