Sandy Kulhavy grew up in a small town in south Central Iowa. She grew up with dogs and has not been without at least one dog for any length of time. Most of the dogs she's had have been abused and came from shelters. She has always wanted to have a horse but never could afford one. She has worked with Morgan horses in Minnesota and loved it. She enjoys taking care of the neighbors animals when they are gone. She enjoys writing stories and taking pictures for picture books.
