Steven Hall's first novel, The Raw Shark Texts, won the Borders Original Voices Award, the Somerset Maugham Award and was shortlisted for the Arthur C. Clarke Award. The book has been translated into thirty languages. His second novel, Maxwell's Demon, was published in the UK in February 2021. The book has been called 'a dazzlingly smart postmodern treat' by The Observer, and 'Superb' by The Telegraph. In 2013, Steven was named as one of Granta Magazine’s Best of Young British Novelists.
