I died nine months from today, on the day that Fortress ENE, my home and one of the few safe cities left in North America, was assaulted by a million monsters pouring from the same portals we’d been exploiting for years. The third stratum beckons, a place of fire, ash and the monsters classed as demons. So, so, many demons. Join our Antrepid Antventurer as he blazes a trail into the third layer of the Dungeon, facing new foes, new challenges and new developments within his own, rapidly expanding family!

It’s amazing what the lack of immediate threat to one’s life and wellbeing can do for a person’s disposition. High risk, high reward endeavors suddenly seem far less appealing, month-long delays are no longer a cause for concern, and sleeping in every single day of the week becomes an extremely attractive proposition. Indeed, without a pressing need to aggressively expand its power, Boxxy T. Morningwood is finally able to simply sit back, enjoy life, and watch the world both turn and burn.

If given the chance to be a genius, few people would say no. Outstanding talent is a key component of great success, after all. What form this ‘great success’ takes is largely up to the individual, but it is often associated with money, fame, and power. Selfish pursuits, yes, but it is only natural to look out for number one first and foremost. This is true even of the altruistic. For instance, if some wonder-child figures out a foolproof way to achieve lasting world peace they would still need an immense amount of influence and resources to turn that idea into reality.

Anthony is free! And he brought friends back to the Colony in the form of the monstrous bear Sarah, and the devious worm, Jim. But things aren't all going the way of our antrepid antventurer. Enemies abound, and the Colony has drawn to much attention. When the Legionem Abyssi, led by Commander Titus, come knocking on his door, will Anthony be able to repel the greatest army beneath the ground?

The citizens of Azurvale are starting to feel the pressure. War with the Empire to the south is imminent, and there's talk of the city's adventurers being drafted into the campaign. Though this conflict seems inevitable and promises to be horrific, the common folk can do little but act like there's nothing wrong.
