The phrase, “The Devil Makes Me Do It” is the claim that supernatural influence is the reason for our sin. Those who claim this is impossible are said to not “believe” in the devil. Those that do “believe” often blame the devil for everything that is wrong with their life. It’s the devil that causes them to sin. It’s the devil that made their boss lay them off.
